Here I am trying to show you that with a little tender loving care I can really improve rather old buildings. The top two photos show a very inexpensive roofing coating that dries flat and dull. That means all the mis-matched roofing sheets used to make repairs will look coherent.
The bottom three photos show a very old building with a new "dress". There are several grades of aluminum paint. The one depicted here is top-of-the-line and will last 7-10 years. The color red hides all the problems in the walls and the aluminum roof moves your eye around and almost acts as trim.
